This is a sports game where you'll find the best teams in the league and the best players to choose from to get onto the court with. You can be in control of one player from start to finish of his career, or you can select your favorite team to take to the championship. If you choose a team, then you are responsible for all of the decisions that are made with the players, the coaches, the home arena and the items that are sold by the team.

You'll see that there are several details with this game. The graphics of the arenas, the courts and the players are mesmerizing, making it feel like you're stepping out onto a real court. There is an option of starting as a university student, getting drafted by one of the teams in the league. You don't have to play for an entire year for the university. You only have to play enough games to get noticed by a team, so make sure the shots that you make and the skills that you exhibit are as good as possible.

There are life events that take place with the players, all hosted by Spike Lee. This gives a realistic feel to the game instead of just competing in basketball games. There are 12 classic teams to choose from in the game, such as the Dallas Mavericks from 2003. There are also approximately two dozen Euroleague teams. It's easy to control the ball in the game with automatic plays available if you hold down certain button combinations.
